The Beaufort Inn

Six separate spaces sit within one block of downtown Beaufort, which is what lets The Beaufort Inn handle both a 300-guest reception and a fifteen-person elopement. Tabby Place is the largest and newest: 7,000 square feet of climate-controlled, blank-canvas room that opens onto a hardscaped patio ringed by live oaks, Spanish moss, and wrought iron gates.

Outdoors, the Garden runs 5,000 square feet behind the historic Main Inn and takes up to 225 guests among confederate jasmine. The Old Bay Marketplace and Rooftop Deck, above the shops on Port Republic Street, pairs a 3,200-square-foot interior of wood floors and exposed beams with a rooftop overlooking Bay Street and the Beaufort waterfront, and holds 125. Craven Courtyard sits among the Female Benevolent Society House, Rhett Cottage, Craven Cottage, and the Scheper House and handles 100; the Palmetto Courtyard, at 800 square feet and fifty guests, is sized for a small evening wedding under string lights.

Across all of it the inn counts about 10,000 square feet of event space, provides on-site event coordination and complimentary wifi indoors and out, and can hold guest room blocks. An elopement package covers up to fifteen guests, two hours in a courtyard, and a bottle of Champagne.
