Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn
Honey Horn covers 68 acres along Jarvis Creek on Hilton Head Island, and the Coastal Discovery Museum rents parts of it out for weddings. Ceremonies happen beneath live oaks that have stood for centuries under Spanish moss; several locations around the property work, so the choice comes down to light and guest count rather than one fixed aisle.
The covered Pavilion runs 4,000 square feet and takes receptions, and a terrace with a fountain looks out over Jarvis Creek. Two boardwalks cross the salt marsh and get used more for photographs than ceremonies — the Fiddler Crab Boardwalk, out among the spartina grass, for first looks, and Osprey Outlook for sunset.
Couples bring their own vendors. The museum does not tie catering or planning to an approved list, which past couples name as a reason they booked. The museum itself is free to visit and open Monday through Saturday 9 to 4:30 and Sunday 11 to 4:30, with galleries on Lowcountry natural history and the Santa Elena settlement.
