About
Two and a half miles of Atlantic beachfront give Wild Dunes Resort its ceremony backdrop — couples marry on the sand, at the Grand Pavilion's covered gazebo and oceanfront pool deck, or on beachfront croquet lawns (12,500 and 5,000 square feet) built for tented receptions. The resort occupies the north end of Isle of Palms, minutes from Sullivan's Island and Mount Pleasant and a short drive from downtown Charleston.
Indoor receptions scale from intimate to grand. At the Sweetgrass Inn, the Indigo Room and its 2,200-square-foot rooftop terrace overlook the ocean and marsh, while the Osprey Ballroom and Terrace offers 6,764 square feet; the standalone Sweetgrass Pavilion adds the 5,888-square-foot Palms Ballroom and 3,108-square-foot Tides Ballroom. Smaller rooms — the Clubroom at the Boardwalk Inn, Palmetto Hall with its poolside patio, and the Fazio Room at the Links golf course — suit rehearsal dinners and compact receptions.
An in-house events team handles packages, menus, and pre- and post-wedding gatherings, with dedicated services for South Asian weddings. Between events, guests spread out across the resort: two golf courses, the Spa at Sweetgrass, pools, and lodging that runs from the Sweetgrass and Boardwalk Inns to condo and home rentals, all within the World of Hyatt network. Wedding pricing is by proposal.
