Just off the Gervais Street bridge, a building that once housed a New Orleans-themed restaurant now hosts weddings with a straight-shot view of the Congaree River and Columbia's skyline. Managing partners Christina Metts and Valerie Thompson run Stone River, where large windows over the Three Rivers Greenway fill the main hall with light against stained concrete, wood, and stone.
The interior centers on a stone fireplace and a 30-foot built-in bar; outside, a wraparound porch overlooks the Greenway and a covered pavilion with ceiling fans and recessed lighting handles ceremonies and dancing. Rentals cover the full property — main hall, patio, and pavilion — and include 100 black Chiavari chairs, ten 60-inch round tables, and buffet and cocktail tables, with staff managing setup and teardown and Stone River management acting as venue coordinator. Couples bring their own licensed, insured caterer, while bar service runs through the venue's packages, with open-bar options at $17 to $20 per guest.
Capacity runs 150 for a seated meal indoors, 175 for buffets, and 300 for cocktail-style events across indoor and outdoor space. Published rates start at $1,250 for a weekday daytime half-day and reach $5,000 for a Friday or Saturday full day, with off-season Saturdays at $3,000. Downtown Columbia's hotels sit minutes away across the river.
