A classically trained opera singer before she picked up a camera, Melissa Brewer came up through the SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities and holds a BA from USC — decades of fine-arts training that now shape how she lights, composes, and gently directs a wedding. Her style sits between editorial and photojournalistic, guided by her belief that joy photographs better than perfection.

Couples get engagement sessions and full wedding coverage, with Melissa known for pitching in well beyond the camera — she will fix hair, carry a bouquet, and keep the day moving. Her work has been published in Southern Weddings, The Knot, Carats & Cake, Lowcountry Bride, Carolinas Magazine, and Hey, Wedding Lady, and she has been recognized by the Professional Photographers of SC.

Based in Greenville, she photographs across the Upstate — the Wyche Pavilion, Westin Poinsett, Cliffs at Glassy, and the Reserve at Lake Keowee are all in the portfolio, along with Columbia's Palmetto Club — and travels for destination weddings. Pricing is available on inquiry.
