Betsy Peterson became an ordained minister in South Carolina after a career as a professional actress and singer in New York and Chicago, and a stint as Miss Illinois. She now runs Say I DO! Hilton Head Weddings, officiating ceremonies across Hilton Head Island.
She performs everything from small elopements to large formal ceremonies, including spiritual, interfaith, and religious weddings and vow renewals. For beach ceremonies specifically, she brings a battery-powered sound system so guests can hear over wind and surf, and advises couples to arrange chairs for elderly guests through a local rental company.
