Petrichor Floral Design
Michelle Forsythe started Petrichor Floral Design after working at a bridal boutique, where she was first asked to help build boutonnieres and bouquets for brides shopping for gowns. That early work turned into a full floral career, and her studio now designs in a textural, garden-inspired style built around wispy, whimsical arrangements and favorite blooms like proteas and anemones.
Couples can book full-service floral design, which covers concept development through breakdown, with personal flowers, ceremony decor, and reception installations handled start to finish. Couples with a smaller footprint, such as elopements or intimate ceremonies, can instead choose a la carte pieces: bridal bouquets, bridesmaids' arrangements, and centerpieces priced individually.
The studio is based in Columbia and works throughout the Carolinas and beyond. Full-service packages start at $3,000; a la carte pricing runs $400 to $2,500 depending on the pieces selected. Ten percent of sales support Jasmine Road, a Columbia nonprofit serving survivors of trafficking.
